He comes back in noticing he spent to much time attending to her wounds and talking to her, but he comes to the door and hears a gun shot. So he slowly opens his door. "i'd like it if you didn't shoot up my house. My name is Xero, i'm a licensed Night Walker" he speaks calmly

Lexix waited a few moments before she made her move; glancing left, to right, as if tentatively half-expecting her movement to trigger some sudden danger or attack from the shadows.

The room she was in was dimly lit at present, by a lamp close by on the table. It appeared, the girl half-conciously noted to be a living room. Doors to a couple of other rooms remained open, but dark so as she could not recognise what was beyond- Lexix could not, in fact even be sure what sort of building she was currently in. A house, an apartment, or something.. else? Lexix did not like this. She disliked not knowing. It made her feel... trapped.

Shaking these thoughts quickly she reached for her gun, on the table as the odd man had said.

/But.../ he was going to turn her over to the hunters. He couldn't be trusted. He was going to take her back there... so why, why now had he returned her weapon..?
/Clearly trying to gain my trust./ reasoned Lexix. Yes. He was trying to get her to cooperate, have her trust him, and then he'd take her back to them.

No chance. She wasn't falling for it; fucking gun probably wasn't even loaded.
Click.
In fact, she'd test that right now.
Take aim.
He was obviously an idiot, thinking she'd fall for his ploys.
Pull back the trigger... and release.
Bang.

Oh. Would you look at that, it was loaded.

Her host had returned her loaded gun. Proof enough that he wasn't planning to betray her? Of course not. To Lexix' mind, her host was now just clearly an idiot, he had obviously just forgotten to remove or expend the clip before returning it. Lexix liked this idea. It gave her a kind of smug feeling.

He remembers something and opens the door a crack "i placed your weapon on the kitchen table, should still be there. It was in the way of one of your wounds" he closes the door and heads back on patrol

Momentarily, Lexix thought to speak... and then a certain realisation dawned on her. Did it really matter where he was going? This man was clearly not used to dealing with her... sort, what with leaving her apparently alone in his house. It would be easy to take supplies sufficient for a week and be out of here within the hour. With a glance at her wrist, her watch read in bold, print numbers '03:14AM'. Drat. They'd track her down again soon and she wasn't about to make the same mistake of sticking around as she did last time. Lexix had to get moving.

She eyed her host with great conviction as he turned to leave. But... what if..? He could even be one of them... a hunter. Of course! It made such sence; he'd killed her pursuer and now he was obviously going out to report her and take the bounty reward for himself.

Possibly, on some unlikely level it was a possibility, perhaps... but to Lexix' paranoid, ever suspecting mind her quickly imagined theory was already a certainty. A risk. She could not take risks, not now.

Slowly, so as not to startle or attract attention she reached for her gun -a rather standard, semi-automatic pistol-. And found it... gone?
"Where is it..?" the girl rose to her feet, still speaking with that dilligent, cautious calm. He'd know what she meant. He surely took her gun while she'd been out cold.

Wait. What else had been taken? Face suddenly paleing her right hand slid down into her pocket... and felt the familar edge of a small, battered little cardboard box. A small sigh of releif; thank god, if she lost those...

"Good point, but i have work to attend to. Please stay here until i return" his appearance is nothing to popular. Warring a trench coat on his shoulders, a black T-shirt just under the coat. his pants, lined with straps. A katana resting on his hip. Boots also lined with many straps also.

He gets to the door , and starts to open it.

Lexix sat up, slowly. A slight wince. Moving her right hand up to the source of her discomfort she discovered that evidentally the wound had been bandaged. It was still too painful to move her arm, and so the girl couldn't be entirely sure to what degree her host had tried to fix what she was fairly sure was a broken collar bone... despite this she was greatful the blood had stopped.

At a glance her clothing was an odd affair; a pair of scuffed boots, beige-brown shorts and a baggy sort of black hoodie which, if it ever had sleeves at all doesn't anymore Most notably is perhaps the black band around her neck. A collar or choker of some sort; though with no buckle or fixing to be seen on it.

"Really? I'd have thought that was more than a bit rude."

As he removes the blindfold, it becomes suddenly clear her eyes beneath are open. The life to them has somewhat returned but somehow they remain.. pale, the skin around even appears a little sore and tinted slightly red.

"Was the blindfold... nessacery?"
she speaks quietly, somehow dilligently. She's so calm; too calm.

"probably cutting a chicks head off wasnt the smartest idea infront of her..." he sighs and takes the wolf off of the girl, and picks the girl up. Carrying her back to his home. Once there, he puts the girl onto the couch and puts a blind fold on and starts tending to her wounds. 20 minutes pass and hes done, and covers her up with a blanket, taking the blind fold off.

Breath escaped her in heavy, uneven gasps and with eyes wide and unblinking in terror she still seems to gaze inches in front of her face where the she-wolf's murderous eyes had met her moments previously.

Now slowly she tilted her head to see her shoulder; torn flesh, blood and bone all visible. Inwardly noted, her arm wouldn't move. She winced at this sight, barely, and even quite painfully now turned to him with eyes -usually a vibrant blue- oddly dilated and paled, which passed blankly over Xero's hand and silently drifted up to his features.
A flash of fear once more.
And that's when she screamed; a flood of tears and sheer, ear-splitting sound, like winds howling in his ears.

Then slowly
the sound faded,
and her eyes closed.

As night falls, a load of people called Nightwatchers roam the streets. Mainly in the main part of town, but only one walker roams the back streets. This walkers name is Xero.

For a long time, this Walker had to hide the fact that he's part Vampire, and part Neko. The neko part of him was reviled easily, but he keeps the Vampire part to himself.

Xero began his night late, but hears someone speak as well as a she-wolf. So he rushes to the scene. He finds a female laying on the ground, being pinned by a she-wolf. So Xero pulls out his blade from its sheath and cuts the head of the wolf off. The head falls limply next to the girl, and he holds a hand to her.

The full moon was just passing its peak in the sky, presiding over tonight's usual dreary city scene. A dark, rainy monotony of buildings and shops, -all long closed at this hour- broken intermittantly and abruptly by the neon-lit, noise-filled clubs and bars of the mainstreets. But not here. Not in the back-alleys and lost streets of the city.

The sounds of breaking glass and shouting were nothing unusual here; just the noises of the night to the people who lived here. Those who locked safe in their houses at night passed it off as muggers and drunks, and knew nothing themselves of the true beasts of the night. Naieve, perhaps... but tonight, a girl who called herself Lexix wished more than anything to be in somone else's place. She tripped, staggered, stumbled exhausted through piles of old boxes and the general rubbish which cluttered the maze of alleyways. Everything ached, there was no time to stop running as she heard, felt it gaining fast. Yet her legs refused to give another step, annd instead Lexix turned, grasped clumsily for the pistol at her side and faced her pursuer.

It was probably an entire three seconds before the beast, from an almost calculated running start leapt up and slammed its prey down onto the ground. She knocked its muzzle away just short of her neck before the creature, snarling, panting, bit down hard on her upper shoulder... sending waves of brilliant, agonising, all-consuming pain racing down her arm and like pins and daggers through her ribs; ending in a hideous 'crunch' of splitting bone.
"Fucking shit-!" she hissed, and surely would have screeched if not for teeth clenched tight in agony.

Drawing back its head the beast released its grip. If a wolf could smile this one did; as hazel-yellow eyes met, momentarily with those of its gasping, bleeding victim... and then as if finally savouring the last moments of the hunt, the she-wolf reached in for the neck; to deliver the killing bite and snuff out what life remained.
